Stress Free Start

All new dogs are required to begin with a Stress Free Start session.

This appointment gives your dog the opportunity to come in, look around, settle and experience the salon environment without the pressure of a full groom straight away.

This session isn’t about getting everything done.
It’s about seeing how your dog feels.

We allow a few minutes to decompress after the car journey, then gently assess how they respond to handling, equipment, noises and the general environment. A structured paw evaluation helps us clearly understand what they’re comfortable with and where they may need more support.

Depending on the dog and how they cope on the day, we may tidy around the eyes, trim nails or neaten feet — but only if they are comfortable.

From there, we create a grooming plan tailored to your dog. Some will move straight into regular grooms. Others may benefit from shorter, staged sessions booked close together.

The goal is long-term confidence, not rushing the process.
